Chick-fil-A in Atascocita trashed by vandals

The search is still on for the vandals who on Sunday broke into and trashed a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Atascocita.
The restaurant located off the 19200 block of West Lake Houston Parkway saw extensive damage, including torn up walls, pulled wires and broken windows.
Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays, so no one was at the scene with the break-in occurred in the early morning hours.
Following the incident, a number of Chick-fil-A locations have reached out to offer help in repairing the damage.
A post on the restaurant's Facebook page reads: "Less than 24 hours and the store is coming back together. It looks like it will take 6 weeks to get the cabinetry in, but the dining room will be up and running Thursday morning!"
This location just recently saw the addition of a drive-thru window. It's perfect timing, since they'll be able to remain open while the dining area is being repaired.
Tuesday (July 14), this location will also be hosting a Cow Appreciation Day party, complete with petting zoo and fire truck, that kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m.
